There is one thing no photograph can hold: the actual hair. This keyring was designed around that — a paw print in soft suede with a clear window in the pad, sized to hold a small tuft of fur behind it.
How It Works
Open the window, place a small amount of combed fur inside, and close it. The paw pad then reads as a paw print with something real behind it. The reverse carries an engraved photograph, so the piece holds both a trace and an image.
Fur last a long time this way. Kept dry and away from direct sun, a tuft behind a window will still be there in several years; loose fur in a bag usually is not.

A small amount of loose or combed fur. If your pet has already passed, most groomers or your own vet will be able to help you collect a tuft — there is usually more than people expect.
